Dumatau means roaring lion in Setswana. This Lodge is in a private concession in the Linyanti region. Bordering on the Chobe National Park. Dumatau is on the edge of the Osprey Lagoon close to the source of the Savuti Channel. The Osprey Lagoon is one of many in the Linyanti Swamp System. It is set between two elephant corridors which makes for exceptional game viewing on the guided game drives offered by Dumatau.

The solar and renewable energy makes duma tau and ecolodge. An eco-friendly and sustainable approach in the bush. Entering the lodge by road is seasonal and depends on the water levels. Flying options are available throughout most of the year. Linyanti region is unique in the ecosystem. The immediate surroundings comprise of lagoons, swamps, riverine forests and grasslands. The ecosystem allows for a combination of browsing and grazing animals. The waterways and lakes are excellent for water birds and raptors.

Our team can recommend a minimum stay of three to four nights to explore the road less traveled in Linyanti. The lodge is perfect for the traveler that does not want to move from point a to b on a daily basis.
