Muchenje Safari Lodge is uniquely positioned on the western border of the Chobe National Park. Situated in the Chobe Forest Reserve and close to the Ngoma border post. Bordering with Namibia. Muchenje is owner managed. The lodge is giving guests quite a unique experience in Botswana. The lodge offers keen attention to detail.

Muchenje Safari Lodge is on the rise above the river. The lodge boasts with magnificent views over the Chobe River and surrounding floodplains.

Situated in the Chobe Forest Reserve means that there are flexibility and variety regarding activities. Game drives are available in the Chobe National Park during the day. At Muchenje you also have some game walks and night drives provided in the forest reserve. The Chobe Forest Reserve has no fences towards the Chobe National Park. Animals roam freely in the forest reserve. Making this a unique and less travelled destination near Chobe.

Easily accessible from Livingstone, Victoria Falls, and Kasane. Muchenje is well worth inclusion in any Botswana itinerary. The lodge is on the western outskirts of the Chobe Park.   • 2 parents with 1 child 8-12 years, child pays 50% of adult rate
  • 1 parent with 1 child – child pays full adult rate
  • family room: 2 parents and 2 children in family room – children pay 50% of adult rate (kids 8-12)
  • families with children 8 – 13 years need to book private vehicles for activities
  • Private vehicle: USD 450 per day in high season, USD 225 per day other times.
