CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Chobe Accommodation is private lodges and tented camps inside the Chobe national park. There are also some lodges on the outskirts of the park’s borders and located in the Chobe Forest Reserve or Elephant valley. We refer to them as Chobe Accommodation as they are in the wild. Chobe park has no fences, so animals move through the Forest reserve and elephant valley region.
These lodges are on concession areas and are off limits to the public. Chobe accommodation strives to uplift a high level of eco-tourism. These lodges and tented camps are within the natural environment. It is not uncommon to have wildlife all around you when visiting these properties.
There are a few lodge and accommodation groups and individual owners. The groups offer a set standard, and you can be assured to expect the same level of service and quality throughout these properties.
Chobe accommodations offer fully inclusive packages for the duration of your stay. These properties are remote, and access is generally by charter plane and 4×4 safari vehicles only. These lodges don’t accommodate self-drive clients. This exclusion allows for controlling conservation and the environment. You need to make arrangements before your arrival.
No children under 12 at these lodges. The age limit will be for the safety of the families as children are vulnerable to predators roaming free in these natural surroundings. Chobe accommodation offers fully inclusive services during your stay. The remoteness of these lodges makes it easier to include all services provided.
Fully inclusive means that all your accommodation, meals, drinks and activities will be inclusive during your stay. Activities will consist of game drives, nature walks, boat trips, and birding. Some concessions allow for night game drives. The rates seem high. Once you experience these remote locations, you will understand the logistics that are required in offering these luxurious accommodations.
You can select your choice of accommodation and combine this with any other remote locations to experience the best of Botswana. Contact us for more information or recommendations during your visit to Botswana.
