TOUR SCHEDULE

 

Day 1

Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe – Hotel

Guests arrive in Victoria Falls in preparation for a 3 pm pre-departure meeting with their guide and fellow travellers. There the guide will do a briefing of the next eight nights’ itinerary as well as provide any need to know information. This will also be an opportunity for the guests to ask any questions they may have about their upcoming safari. Dinner will be at the hotel’s restaurant.

Dinner

Day 2

Victoria Falls – Kasane – Chobe National Park

Departure from Victoria Falls will be at 7 am on this morning. Guests will arrive at the Kazangula Border at approximately 8 am after a drive of 70km. After border formalities, clients will drive 10km to Thebe River Safaris for a tour briefing.  Following this guest will enjoy a relaxing game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River before returning to Thebe River Safaris for lunch. After lunch guests will have time to shop for drinks and snacks in Kasane town that they will need for the next four days of safaris. The afternoon will be spent setting out on a game drive into camp while enjoying, en route the beauty of the Chobe National Park. Hopefully finding the illustrious carnivores of the Chobe as well as the large herds of Elephants and Buffalo, arriving at camp just after sunset. Dinner will be served on arrival and enjoyed around the campfire before overnighting in dome tents.

Day 3,4

Savuti

We depart Johannesburg around 09h00 to allow us to reach Black Rhino Game Lodge around mid-day.
We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, you can settle in and relax before enjoying the afternoon game drive. The game drives start in the exclusive Black Rhino Reserve before heading into the rest of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The experienced safari guides explain the secrets of this unique habitat and track down predators like leopard, cheetah and the elusive leopard.
Upon arrival, back at the lodge, you can freshen up before enjoying a scrumptious dinner.

Day 5,6

Moremi Game Reserve.

We seize the day with an early morning rise. What a great way to start your day at sunrise while on safari in the Botswana wilderness. Guests have a light breakfast before enjoying an early morning game drive including a stop at the bushman paintings. The ancient rock art of the Khoi san is a visible sign of their old existence. Our day will be a scenic drive and game viewing trip all the way towards the Moremi Game Reserve. The Moremi will be our base for the next two days to explore this magnificent wilderness area of Botswana. The Moremi forms a border with the Okavango Delta. Moremi Game Reserve is truly a wildlife wonder. They then set off for Moremi Game Reserve. Game viewing continues en route. Lunch is on route to camp. Guests have the opportunity to relax until the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Moremi.

Day 7

Moremi – Maun

An early morning breakfast, while enjoying the sights and sounds of daybreak. Guests set off on a final game drive in the Moremi area. The Moremi Game Reserve is departed, with a light lunch en route to Maun. On arrival in Maun, guests will have the opportunity to do an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta which is spectacular. Shopping for the next day will be done before heading to the Camp. The guests will overnight here and be briefed about their upcoming Okavango Delta mokoro excursion the following day.

Day 7

Moremi – Maun

An early morning breakfast is served while enjoying the sights and sounds of daybreak. Guests set off on a final game drive in the Moremi area. The Moremi Game Reserve is departed, with a light lunch en route to Maun. On arrival in Maun, guests will have the opportunity to do an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta which is spectacular. Shopping for the next day will be done before heading to the Camp. The guests will overnight here and be briefed about their upcoming Okavango Delta mokoro excursion the following day.

Day 8

Maun – Okavango Delta

Breakfast is around the campfire before heading off to explore the Okavango Delta by mokoro with experienced polers. After a nature filled day exploring the 1000th UNESCO world heritage listed site guests can enjoy sundowners in the bar before a final farewell dinner with the group.
Dinner will be at the camp’s restaurant.

Day 9

Maun – Depart.

After a hearty breakfast, the guests say farewell to their guide and fellow travel companions as the tour comes to an end.
