Chobe Savuti Safari

Chobe Savuti Safari will take you on an intensive exploration of the Chobe National Park. This 6-Day safari combines the Chobe Riverfront close to Kasane with the Savuti region of Chobe. Guests depart from Kasane airport by charter flight to Savuti Safari Lodge for a two-night stay.

Savuti Safari Lodge overlooks the Savuti Channel, and all rooms have a great view. Game drives take place in the morning and afternoon. At mid-day, guests have time to enjoy the lodge’s communal areas or relax in their private rooms. From the main areas, you can watch animals coming down to the water for a drink.

After two nights, a charter flight takes guests back to Kasane, where a road transfer of about half an hour will reach the Chobe Game Lodge.

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge inside Chobe National Park’s northern section. The lodge has hosted many famous guests over the years, including Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. It is quite a large lodge, but it has been designed with privacy in mind, from the deck with small private seating areas to the different bars and dining areas. The rooms are also personal, and all overlook the Chobe River.

Morning game drives, a mid-morning boat cruise, and an afternoon boat cruise are included while staying at Chobe Game Lodge. The lodge prides itself on being a green lodge with the first electric game drive vehicles, the first electric boat and a solar-powered boat in their fleet. They also empower women in tourism by putting together Botswana’s first women-only guiding team.

After breakfast on day six, guests have a complimentary transfer to the Kasane airport for departure. We can arrange transfers to lodges in Kasane or Victoria Falls / Livingstone at additional charges.

Day 1 – 2

Savuti Safari Lodge

On arrival at Kasane airport, a representative will be waiting for you to assist in bordering the charter flight to Savuti Safari Lodge.
Savuti is best known for the Savuti marsh, which, after years of drought, again has water and is a place with an abundance of water, birds and wildlife.
Probably the most well-known is the enormous pride of the lion that has learnt to hunt elephants and almost solely prey on the young elephant in the Savuti area. At Savuti Safari lodge, game drives are the order of the day.
Spend the next two days exploring the magnificent Savuti region, excellent for birding and game viewing.

Day 3 – 5

Chobe Game Lodge

After breakfast on day 3, your driver will take you back to the airstrip and get on a charter flight back to Kasane, where a Chobe Game lodge representative will pick you up and take you on a game drive transfer to the only permanent lodge inside the Chobe National Park.

After settling in, lunch will be served with some time to relax and take in the glorious surroundings before being off on an afternoon game drive or a boat cruise on the Chobe River.
Watch the sun setting over the river from the riverboat or at the bar area before enjoying a welcome dinner after a long day.
Day 4 & 5 are spent at the lodge or on as many activities as you wish. There is a pool area, library, billiard table, cigar lounge at the lodge to keep you busy while out in the park game drives and boat cruises are the order of the day.
Chobe is well known for the large population of elephants in the park and the high number of the lion, hyena, and the elusive wild dog.

Day 6

Departure

After your last Chobe breakfast, you will depart on a game drive transfer back to Kasane, where your adventure will end.
