The Four Rivers Safari is one of the top safaris to do in Southern Africa. The safari is a fully inclusive lodge safari in Windhoek, Namibia or Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The safari covers four of the most famous rivers. The Zambezi, Chobe, Kwando and Okavango River will be part of our safari.
We have selected these four rivers as a safari route because of the fantastic sightings along their banks. These four rivers are home to much natural wildlife and birdlife. When the flood season arrives, there is a short period where all these rivers become one.
This safari is conducted in a customized 4X4 safari vehicle with a window seat for each passenger.
We also added excellent adventure activities to the safari: game drives, hikes, and river cruises. We will visit some of the local tribes and learn more about these parts of Africa.
It is a fully-inclusive lodge safari, and all meals and accommodation are included. The 3-star accommodation will soothe your body and mind after every adventure-packed day.
This safari combines all the highlights of the Zambezi region! It’s a genuinely life-changing experience.
The Four River safaris have set departures, and we, therefore, take a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 clients per safari.
We do accommodate private safaris on this route.

Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe
We will receive you in Victoria Falls. This afternoon is spent at leisure, usually viewing Victoria Falls. Our evening is at a local restaurant with traditional food and a beautiful boma. Our tour leader will brief you on the route and safari that follows over the next two weeks.
Victoria Falls – Kasane – Chobe Park
After a hearty breakfast, we will depart Zimbabwe and take a scenic drive along the Victoria Falls National Park toward the Botswana border. We will explore Botswana’s lush Chobe National Park on a game drive and river cruise.
Chobe – Kwando – Namibia
The Kwando region is near the Chobe National Park. We will be visiting the Kwando River within Namibia. It is a mere 3-hour drive along the eastern Caprivi to our lodge for the next two days. We will explore the wildlife on a safari and a scenic boat trip. The Kwando is home to a large variety of birdlife and wildlife. The region is on traditional tribal land. We will have the chance to visit a community art and culture centre.
Kwando – Okavango Pan Handle
Our 3-hour drive will take us to the Okavango Panhandle in Namibia. We will visit the panhandle area’s national parks and game reserves. Our tour also brings us to The Tsodilo Hills rock art galleries. A hike at the Tsodilo Hills combines a boat trip on the panhandle. The meandering waterways of the Okavango River are magnificent. A well-deserved visit to the Okavango River awaits our arrival.
Okavango – Grootfontein region
We leave the Okavango River this morning and will make our way towards going to Roys Camp. This region is called Bushman land. Bushmanland refers to the land of the Khoi-San people. We visit a Khoi-San community initiative and will better understand the Khoi-San Culture.
Groot fontein region – Etosha National Park
Etosha National Park will be our destination for the next three days of our safari. The park’s landscape boasts strong contrasts in colour, and the name means the “large white area”. This white area refers to the Etosha Pan. The waterholes of Etosha attract a large variety of wildlife and birdlife. These waterholes are perfect for some wildlife photography.
Etosha National Park – Windhoek
Today is the final day of our safari. We drive south towards an early morning start and a hearty breakfast. Lunch is at your own expense on the route, and your accommodation is part of your package this evening.
