Mogotlho Safari Lodge is situated in a Khwai concession area, close to the Moremi Game Reserve, overlooking the Khwai River. The lodge is unfenced and wildlife roams freely through the camel thorn forest. The Khwai River is an exceptional location where you can frequently spot wildlife including lions, leopards, wild dogs, elephants, buffalo and honey badgers.

The birdlife in the area is phenomenal for wildlife photography. An abundance of birds migrate to this area with every rainy season. Wildfowl and raptors provides great sightings around Mogotlho Safari Lodge.

Being in a private concession area means that night game drives and guided safari walks are on offer. Mogotlho partners with the local community and a cultural visit to Mababe Village can be arranged. Other activities that can be booked include a day trip to Moremi and Savuti and Mokoro trips (seasonal).

There is a large shaded wooden deck with a sparkling pool with beautiful views overlooking the Khwai River.  There’s a wildlife library for guests who would like to read up on their day’s discoveries.

Mogotlho Safari Lodge is a 2 hour drive from Maun, making it suitable for self-drives as a perfect en-route stop over between Maun and Kasane.

The Solar based eco-friendly lodge has 13 Meru Safari Tents with en-suite bathrooms. All the tents are river facing with double or twin beds. All amenities are provided for a comfortable stay. Each Safari Tent has a fan and a veranda with beautiful views of the African bush.

There are many activities at the camp, like morning and afternoon game drives. Nighttime activities include spotlight game drives – a highlight after dinner. You can arrange night game drives upon arrival at the Mogotlho Safari Lodge. Game drives usually take place in the Moremi Game Reserve, the Savuti areas, and the Khwai River.

Cultural visits into Mababe Village and walking safaris along the Khwai River are special activities at the Mogotlho Safari Lodge. The lodge accepts children of all ages on the condition that they should be in the care of their parents at all times.
