Departure from Victoria Falls will be at 7 am on this morning. Guests will arrive at the Kazangula Border at approximately 8 am after a drive of 70km. After border formalities, clients will drive 15km to Kasane. We will enjoy some coffee, tea and muffins and receive a briefing on our Chobe River Trip that awaits us. Chobe River Trip brings us close to the beautiful wildlife of Botswana, and this will be a 3-hour experience. After our return, we will enjoy a hearty lunch and have time to relax before we set off on our camping Safari inside the Chobe National Park.
The afternoon will be spent setting out on a game drive into camp while enjoying, en route the beauty of the Chobe National Park. We are hopefully finding the illustrious carnivores of the Chobe as well as the vast herds of Elephants and Buffalo, arriving at camp just after sunset. Dinner will be served on arrival and enjoyed around the campfire before overnighting in dome tents.
We will be camping in the park for two days. Our guided rangers will teach us the behaviour and characteristics of the wild side of Botswana over the next two days.
Accommodation: 2 person Dome Tents.
After an early morning drive, we will break up camp and set our departure for savuti. We will make our way back to the transit road of the Chobe Park and then aim to drive past some of the smaller villages like Kachikau and Parakarungu.
The day is an adventure, and we drive past villages and wildlife corridors. The two spoor sand road takes time to travel and will allow us to have some wildlife sightings on route to our Savuti camping site Our campsite is in savuti region for the next two days, and we will embark on some wildlife game drives at Savuti. The environment differs slightly from the Chobe River area, and the vast grasslands are home to a variety of predators. We spend the days exploring this region and capture our experiences on camera.
Accommodation: Wild Camping in Savuti Region.
After an early morning drives our safari will start to return towards the Chobe River region. We follow the two spoor track road back towards the western part of the chobe park. Our destination is a tented camp on the banks of the chobe floodplains. We will have an en route lunch stop before we reach our Tented Camp at Mwandi View.
This afternoon is a relaxing afternoon, and everyone is free to indulge in some leisure time and reflect on our safari experience of the last days. Mwandi View has a great swimming pool that overlooks the floodplains. The lodge has one of the best sunset views on the western chobe.
Day 7. We will embark on a final morning game drive inside the Chobe National Park. An excellent opportunity to enjoy the wildlife of Botswana one last time. Our Picnic Lunch will be inside the park before we head back towards Mwandi View. Some more relaxing time this afternoon before we go down to the floodplains for sundowners this evening.
