Camp Savuti has a reputation for exceptional game viewing. It is known for large herds of herbivores and predators. Getting there is a 20-minute drive from the local airstrip, and this is an excellent opportunity to view the game. The camp only accommodates ten people in 5 Meru-style tents. Savuti Channel

The channel is a wildlife hot spot, as come here to eat on soft sweet grass. The savuti channel is an ideal spot to watch for thirsty animals and nesting water birds. An abundance of activity in and around this marsh makes it excellent for game sightings and drives. The channel has brought new life to the Savuti. Even the odd restless elephant bull has calmed down because of the freshwater supply.

Luxury Safari Tents and Activities

The camp overlooks the channel, and each tent is spacious and privately located on an elevated deck with a view of the waterway. All open vehicle game drives are included if you book on a Full Board basis during your stay at Camp Savuti. This is a perfect stop-over for mobile safaris and self-drives. You can spend two to three days at Camp Savuti.

There are many predators in Savuti. The secret to the Savuti experience is patience. It would be best if you took your time to slow down and tune it, then you’ll see the wildlife activity. If you divide your time between the channel and marsh, you have a good chance of excellent wildlife sightings.
