Chobe Water Villas is an exclusive and intimate boutique lodge. It is situated on the eastern tip of the Zambezi Region also known as the Caprivi Strip. You will find the villas under impressive Acacia trees which provides excellent shading. There are 16 luxurious villas specially situated for a great view of the river. This means the lodge can accommodate a maximum of 32 guests.
The lodge is opposite the Chobe National Park. It is built on stilts on the side of the Chobe River. This location gives guests a clear view of the park and the famous Sedudu island. Peace and privacy are ensured because the lodge is not open to the general public in other words it is exclusively reserved for guests.
The Chobe National Park is home to more than 160 000 elephants. This is the largest elephant population in the world. Also, the park is home to 164 mammal species and in Africa this is one of the largest concentrations of Wildlife. Some of the other notable species are lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, giraffe and zebra.
The greatest density of wildlife of any river system can be found on Sedudu island. You will find elephant, lion, buffalo, hippo, crocodile as well as a few species of antelope on this Island. The Fishing is great in the area and you can get the experience of catching one of the fiercest fighting fish in the world. This fish is the famous tiger fish and it is extremely powerful and energetic. In addition to this amazing fish you will also find the nembwe and the delicious three spot bream.
The only way to get to Chobe Water Villas is by a 15-minute boat transfer from Kasane. This is truly a great experience because the safari-boat transfer gives you a good opportunity for wildlife sightings. With this in mind, keep your camera ready for the crocodiles and hippos as well as the 460 bird species in the area.
