This safari is an inclusive, luxury lodge fly-in safari. This safari offers the best locations for wildlife viewing in Botswana!

Botswana Luxury Lodge Safari Highlights

This Botswana luxury safari is ideal for travelers seeking wildlife, adventure and comfort.

Guests will take a light aircraft transfer from Maun to the Makgadigadi Pans and stay at Leroo Le Tau Lodge. The lodge is situated on the western bank of the Boteti River, which is the main outflow on the Okavango Delta, providing a critical link in the annual Zebra migration. Leroo Le Tau offers twelve luxurious thatched and raised glass-fronted suites, offering various vantage points overlooking the Boteti River Valley below. You can relax around the swimming pool or spend time taking photo’s from the game-viewing hide built into the bank of the Boteti River.

The lodge offers guided game drives in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park where you can view Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Spotted and Brown Hyena, Zebra, Wildebeest and Chobe Bushbuck, to name a few. As the lodge is situated in a remote location within the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the Makgadikgadi Pans itself are not visited on daily scheduled game drives from the lodge. Optional cultural visits can be arranged to a local Khumaga Village.

From the Makgadikgadi Pans you will fly to the newly renovated Xugana Island Lodge, where the Xugana Lagoon is considered as the most beautiful permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta! The lodge is situated in a private concession area in the heart of the Okavango Delta, with a tranquil overwater fire-deck, extending from the main lodge to the lagoon. Relax as you explore the Delta channels and winding waterways by motorboat or mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe). Guided walking safaris, world-class birding and catch-and release fishing with supplied gear are also on offer.

This intimate lodge only hosts up to 22 guests, ensuring privacy with spacious, river-facing Luxury Safari Tents set within the island’s lush vegetation with en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers and enclosed viewing decks.

From the Okavango Delta you will catch a light aircraft transfer to Camp Moremi, situated within the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge offers twelve spacious Thatched Safari Tents, including one family room, accommodating a maximum of twenty four guests. The sunken bar is built around an ebony tree and a large termite mound, incorporating the natural surroundings, leading towards an elevated dining area, private deck and a walkway to the fireplace in front of the camp. It offers an open air boma and swimming pool, where you can relax after an early-morning game drive. Look out for ‘Oscar’, the resident Hippo that loves to pop in and say ‘hi’.

Guests can partake in morning and afternoon game drives, searching for lions, wild dog, leopard, puku and sitatunga, whilst exploring the different ecosystems that Moremi Game Reserve has to offer. Guests will have the possibility of a boat cruise, exploring the Xakanaxa Lagoon with its surrounding channels. Even birders will have a chance to glimpse the elusive Pel’s Fishing Owl, which makes an occasional appearance.

Wave goodbye to your friendly local Botswana guide as you take to the sky for another light aircraft transfer to the newly renovated Savute Safari Lodge, known for its high number of predators. This is your best chance to view the mighty lions of the Northern and Marsh Prides in the Savuti region of the Chobe National Park!

Savute Safari Lodge offers eleven luxurious chalets, each with a private deck where you can immerse yourself in nature, viewing wildlife walking past you to drench their thirst at the waterhole situated in front of the lodge. After dinner, you can relax around the fire deck spotting elephant and the various game at the waterhole. Aspiring photographers can make use of the photographic hide, situated directly in front of the lodge, offering exceptional game viewing and photo opportunities. Or you can choose to just relax around the pool, soaking up the sun, sights and sounds of the bushveld around you.

Game drives are done in open 4×4 safari vehicles, incorporating the Savuti Marsh to give guests the chance to view the historic presence of the Savute Channel that last flowed in 2009, spilling into the Savute Marsh by January 2010 for the first time since the early 1980’s. The Savute Channel flows from the Linyanti River to the Savute Marsh, sustaining the western reaches of the Chobe National Park. It is known to flood and dry at will, regardless of the rainfall or flood patterns elsewhere, intriguing and puzzling geologists, researchers and local communities. It is always a point of interest: ‘When will the Savuti Channel’ flow again? Only time will tell..

From the Savute Airstrip you will fly to Kasane Airport, from where a road transfer will take you Chobe Game Lodge, which is the only permanent lodge situated inside the famous Chobe National Park. This is the perfect location to explore the Chobe Riverfront and Linyanti areas of the Chobe National Park.

Chobe Game Lodge offers forty four rooms and four luxury suites, all river facing. The spacious lounge areas, various viewing decks, different dining locations and a riverside boma with a swimming pool invites you to relax, where you can enjoy your own space. Or take a walk around Chobe’s boardwalk, watching the beautiful African sunset.

Chobe Game Lodge offers both land and water-based safari activities, offering the best that Chobe has to offer.

During 2010, Chobe Game Lodge proudly introduced ‘Chobe’s Angels’, a groundbreaking all female team of safari guides. Since its inception, these local Botswana female guides have changed the perspective around a woman’s role in conservation and guiding in Botswana, inspiring other lodges in Africa to do the same.

Guests can look forward to early-morning and late-afternoon Chobe game drives in open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles, as well as Chobe boat cruises done with solar-electric powered safari boats, offering silent safaris on the beautiful Chobe River. Chobe offers an abundance of wildlife and is known for the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. Watch as these large herds of elephants and buffalo visit the fertile flood plains along the Chobe River to quench their thirst, bathe and play. Chobe Game Lodge also offers frequent sightings of lion, leopard, African wild dog, roan antelope, puku, red lechwe, sable and giraffe.
